Anyone have an idea of the value of a mint set of four Buck steak knives? They're wooden handled, pristine, and if I'm not mistaken, no longer produced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The steak knives are not in production. The value varies depending on condition, accesories and boxing, etc. for the set of 4 from $160 to $260. Area sold and need / desire of set would also affect pricing. They are a great set of knives, I don't know why the public was so neutral when Buck was selling these and the great kitchen knives in the past. Feel free to contact me if I can be of more help.

Hi Gene,
Thanks for the info. Jbravo was asking for me because I was without internet access for a week. I have 2 sets mint in the velvet box and the outside cardboard box and was trying to get an approximate value.
Thanks,
Dave

I think the handle material is Micarta. I used to work on them back then(greywheel, tycro, and buffing finish). Of course that was in '79 through '82. They had some different ones they made later on too.
