I tell you what, in early December I stopped by the Buck store in Post Falls and picked up a few knives for myself. I got four of the Buck Steak Knives and put them away in the safe, until last night. I grilled a nice rib steak over the coals with apple wood for smoke and got out a new Buck to do the honours. The knife did an outstanding job as suspected it would. There is so much to like about the knife, especially the handle design and the substantial spine on the knife. So many steak house knife are so flimsy and when you get a tough piece of meat they just can't cut it. This knife would have no problems. Last night's rib steak was very tender and the knife went through it like butter. I'm not one much to do reviews but this knife I highly recommend to anyone that enjoys using a perfect knife for their steak. I will be buying more, you bet.

That's good to hear John.
Can't have to many good steak cutters.
I've been trying not to look at them dang.

I use the butcher and a serrated bread knife. After using the butcher I see no need for any of the old knives in the kitchen. I put a new edge on it with my Sharpmaker and it is one cuttin knife. BTW it was sharp from the factory.
