If Buck is going to continue to do the Stealth Runs, would someone in the know make a sticky thread that keeps track of them like the BOTMs? The info isn't readily available.

It looks like there has been 7 stealth runs so far. #7 was two part. 7a was a 501 in cocobolo, 7b was a 501 in elk. It turns out I have all the stealth runs except 7b.

This thread has some good information on the Stealth Runs.

I'd like to see more experiments by Buck!

Could we add the part number and catalog number and maintain it on a sticky thread?

I found something very interesting and a little confusing. It appears that Buck acted so stealthy that they didn't even tell us they released Stealth Run #008 last fall. While searching for model and catalog numbers I found this COA showing this 60th anniversary 110 in MagnaCut. Several other confirmed sales of this knife have occurred and it appears there may still be some of the 2000 produced, out there available for purchase. (Photos borrowed from auction listing.)

If anyone knows the catalog number for 7a, please share. Thanks.

That is interesting. I seem to remember that coming out but I think I passed on it because it was pricey. I had no idea that was considered stealth run #8. I see at least 3 places still have them for sale at $200. A run of 2000 seems large for a stealth run. How did the 60th Anniversary Honduran Rosewood one get released? I have one, perhaps it was a web special.

Announced on various social media sites, Buck sold the Stealth #005 on their website only.

Wasn't 7a the one sold at trade shows, and then ended up on the BCCI site?

Yep.

Now that MagnaCut is available in the custom shop on the 110, 112, 113, 119, 501, and 722, I doubt we'll see any more MagnaCut stealth runs on those models.

For all we know, the Stealth Run" concept might have been just a Magnacut thing with the Budgie exception. I hope not, I wasn't collecting knives in the hey-day of special factory orders.

I can confirm from FB that Gpyro's catalog number is correct, 13975. For what it is worth the boxes shown on FB had dates of 8/12/2024 for 13974 and 6/4/2024 for 13975. That might make sense, since I think someone said it was sold at a show before announced as a stealth run on 8/20.

I've noticed the manufacture dates on the box and the release dates differ. I may need to add a column and do some more research.

Wow - you did an incredible job!!! My COA on the 7B is 92509-1. The date on the box is 8/15 but I don't think we really have to worry about the dates on the box. The 7A is an outlier because I think they didn't sell them all at the show, so they made them a stealth run - maybe.
