Buck steel information

Is there any information out there as to what steels Buck used for his common model fixed blades .ie:102,103,-105,118,120,119,etc.etc.
In differant years beginning with the 1960's?
Has he ever used anything but ss?
 
I may be wrong on the dates, but someone will correct me if that is the case.

They started with 440C. Some time in the 80's they went to 425. In 1994 to current they use 420HC.

Would high-carbon steel (and a greater potential for rusting) be problematic for a company that offers a Forever Warranty?
