B/S tanto ATS-34..On initial inspection had some slight horizontal blade play. I very carefully tighted the pivot screws, blade play gone, but now when i "flick" it open the liner seems to stick when i attempt to disengage the lock. If i loosen the pivot screws it corrects the liner lock from sticking but then i have blade play. Any suggestions? Awesome blade..

Gstop,
I'll suggest to tighten the pivot screw, so I did. My 880sp initially also had slight side to side play, and now with scrwe tightened it's gone. Till the lock sticking, IMO it needs time to break in. I guess after hundreds of locking/unlocking it should be OK. The Ti liner is softer than ATS-34 so it has to give in. :)

Thanks passenger...Exactly what i ended up doin..just wondering was it normal for the liner stick afterwards..

I've had a mini tanto in BG-42 and mini spearpoint in ATS-34 for about six months now, and I use them just about everyday. After some "break in" they're extremely smooth, with solid lockup and the "stickiness" worked itself out.

Yup normal,
Keep it tight and break it in.
I'm personally very happy its kinda grabby.

Not sure how buck feels about it but Strider says its OK to snap open.
Initially, and even still if I snap it open hard it locks up durn tight.
No question but thats how I want it in a "severe" use situation.

I'm sure its a function of different blade / liner materials and large locking surface, plus proper lock geometry.
