Been tinkering with this one and now it is for sale...............I know, sorta sounds like I'm saying "I screwed this knife up and now I want to get rid of it"  But I didn't! :D :D I just did some minor cosmetic things and one "biggie" There is a complete story at the Buck Forum under 880SP Mods, so I'll tell the short version here. I have disassembled it and satin finished the titanium liners on the inside and on the edges. I polished up the pivot area to smooth up the opening of the knife. I polished the blade to a more even grey finish...just used Mothers Polish to do this so no buffing wheels involved. I did use my Dremel to mirror polish the screw heads on the pivot and the handle screws, left clip screws black. I also mirror polished the thumb studs, although I took them off (so I could polish the blade), and in so doing I do have a few teeth marks on them but not real noticeable unless you fixate on it.

IMPORTANT INFO
I do not and can not take pics..........I am digitally challenged....THERE, I've said it!!! Also, this is the new version with left/right clip, smoother G-10 scales, hardened titanium liner lock, and solid phospher/bronze washers. Lockup is EXCELLENT on this one and blade is centered in the handle upon closing. Also the last "s" in 880sps stands for serrated, as the blade has about 3/4's of an inch of them at the base of the blade. You can look at a serrated version if you go to Buck or an online knife dealer.

The biggie I mentioned earlier was that I have attatched an old EDI Genesis deep carry clip on the B/S for tip down carry and for more DISCREET carry...read this to mean that you do not have an inch of handle sticking up out of your pocket. In fact the knife will sit flush with the top of your pocket.
I carried this knife for several days to test out the clip and have experienced no problems with it getting loose. Didn't expect it too since I used JB Weld to secure it. You can still reach the pivot screw with the clip attatched as this clip was made with a series of holes in it and I placed one right over the pivot screw! Sometimes I astound and amaze myself with how smart I actually am!  :D

And I said I would do the short version.

Bottom line........$125.00 shipped anywhere in the CONUS. I do paypal and m.o.'s.

Art, It's a shame that you're DIGITALLY CHALLENGED (DC)
because this sounds like an awesome job on a tough as nails knife.
Pics would be wonderful.
Tho I can envision it. I live in a fantasy world anyway :)

Congrats on recognizing your DC. It's the first step!
Tom

Thank you Tom for the wonderful support. Yes, I think it is time that all those who have DC recognize that we ARE NOT the second class citizens the rest of the world would have us to believe we are! Does being DC mean we are poor parents? Does being DC mean we are not capable of holding a steady job? Does being DC mean that we are to forever be forced to go to other websites and right click and save as?

I think it is time the rest of you wake up and watch out! The DC'ers of this world are no longer going to take a back seat. NO, we are going to stand tall and proud and post our save as'ses all over Cyber World!!!!

Btw, the knife is still for sale....if I can get my wife or son to take a picture and post it I will........the two of them are not DC, and just laugh at my condition.....

So......no one seems to like the $125.00 price tag. In that case we'll drop it a bit to $105.00, and that still includes shipping in the CONUS.

You can see them on Bucks web site or here at 1sks.com. Model number is 880sps.
