hi anyone have any input on the buck strider 881 mini that was just made with the left over parts ,ats34 boss steel, spear point blade and black g-10.

I picked up 4 of them. Really nice piece of history with strider.

I have one on the way. I owned a serrated version years ago, and loved it (but always wished it was a plain edge, so I sold it.)

I received mine today. There's only one difference that I can vs. those made a few years back.

The liner on the non lockbar side appears to be a lockbar side liner that the lockbar was cut away. This isn't necessarily a big deal structurally, but it leaves a good bit of the brass spacer unsupported inside the liner. I guess this should have been addressed at the factory by making the spacer smaller than it originally was, or more properly, by using the correct liner.

It's still a tank of a knife, and I don't see this as causing any trouble down the road (but I'm no knifemaker, so I could be wrong.)

They did not have the original liner so the had to modify the lock side to work on the opposite side. Good job buck.

Hey Makael,

I sent you an email about your 881's a few days ago. Did you get it?

Best,

Matthew
