I got one of the Buck Strider 889's a few months ago and it has been a good hard use knife. It is really beefy and keeps a good edge. For $50, this is good folder. Just thought I'd let you know in case anyone is looking at these.

I just received mine in the mail yesterday. Thanks for the info!

It's my first Buck in many, many years.

i just snagged the LE version of this knife with ironwood scales for the father-in-laws xmas gift. can't wait till it gets here and i see it in person.

i may have to snage one for myself :) bwahahaha

Great little knife, I have the all black one. It is a good knife for the money, and has a great grip. This is one of those knives that you won't be afraid to use. The only tweak that I had to do was bending the pocket clip to the way that I liked it.

My 889 is my primary EDC.... I may carry a new knife for a few weeks then it seems like I always go back to carrying my 889.

I love mine, love the design. Also like the tight grip this knife allows. Feels impossible to slip
