Been hearing a lot of good things about the Strider collaborations lately. I've been thinking about getting one of the small ones with the spear point. I've used an Al Mar 2000 before which seems to be aimed at the same user. The large B/S is altogether too huge for an EDC and my hands. Can anyone compare the small B/S to the Sere 2000?
Is the BG-42 version worth the extra $?
And who has the best prices on these?
Thanks,
Lenny

Lenny, I haven't been able to check out the Al Mar SERE 2000, but I own 2 large and 1 small version in ATS-34, with the large spear point as my EDC. The Mini-Strider is indeed more pocket friendly than it's larger brother and has a secure lockup with no blade wobble in any direction. The clip is positioned for tip up carry and the G-10 scales have the same rough texture as the large version. I haven't come across the BG-42 versions, but I'm happy with my ATS-34 versions. If the Buck Strider (full size) is too big for your hands, the Mini-Strider is definately worth checking out. If you can find a BG-42 version, don't pass it up. :)

I really like my B-S Spearpoint in BG-42 but it is definately not me edc.

IMO it's twice the knife of the SERE2K.
