Hi folks,

Just a simple question, what lube are you using to keep the action smooth? I used a bit of Finish Line lube that I normally apply to my bike chains and realized that the viscosity is a bit heavy. What can I get down at my local hardware store that will work well?

Oh, and is it complicated to disassemble the knife? Just to clean out the old lube and apply the fresh stuff. I don't want any surprises.

I have never taken mine apart, and I don't think it's necessary either. To clean mine, I spray it with brake cleaner. It gets all the gunk off. To lubricate it, I use either Breakfree CLP or 3 in 1 oil. Either one seem to work fine.

By all means, please don't take it apart!
It just brings about a few headaches when reassebly is attempted. The previous post had what seems like a good idea for cleaning and lube. I would also suggest you try White Lightning wax lubricant. I have used this a lot and it works great.
Take care,
