Why are some people saying that Buck and Strider aren't working together anymore? I wanted an 880SP so I called Buck themselves and they said that Buck and Strider still have a collaboration and are still making their knives together. Does someone have any other information about this that no one else does? Where did they hear that Buck and Strider were not working together?

.....look out.....this may be more than you bargained for winterkrieg....

What do you mean marcinek? Am I stomping on egg shells? I just want to know if it's possible to get an 880SP still. As soon as I hear that something is discontinued, I know stuff won't be around very long.

They may not have plans for collaborating on future projects, but as far as I know, the ones in the pipeline are still OK.

Welcome to Bladeforums! I'll move this to the Buck forum for you....

That line still shows on their site, not sure about that model but his pic and claims to greatness are sill there.

I hope they drop him and soon.

That being said, there seems to be a lot of stock around. Get one quick if you think they are going to dry up soon.

The B/S line is still being made but the 880 is not in the 2007 catalog, several other models are, and just for the record, THEY ARE AWESOME!!! Built like Abrams tanks!!! Made by Buck Knives in Post Falls ID. :D

Sorry winterkrieg...there has been much debate lately about the quality of Mick Strider's character.

Happily, this thread stayed, for the most part, on information about and the quality of his knives made in collaboration w/Buck.

Cool!
