Just picked this knife up today from a local guy. I got a great deal on it. He says it's real and his dad got it from the Buck factory he works at (I live an hour away from the Buck Factory, FYI. I got home and hopped online and was scared to death when I saw all of the fakes out there! I am pretty sure I got a real one because it seems to be stamped not laser etched and it has the manafacturers date code (I think?) below the steel code. Please say I got a genuine Buck Strider!! Thanks guys!

That's the real deal. I have/had 2 and they're just like that one. (still have one) As a side note...you have the best version that Buck made...ats-34 and G10 with screws...not taccom/rivits and 420hc. The Bos HT is deluxe as well.

yea, its legit - believe that's the steve tarani police model - bad ass blade - and becoming more rare by the minute

That's a relief! I have always wanted a Strider but cant bring myself to fork out $400 on a EDC i might lose or have stolen. This seems to be a work horse of a knife so far. I took my Lansky to it today and it will shave my arm smooth its so sharp. Thanks for the reassurance that I got a good deal!

Congrats on scoring a great deal.

That's a classic and valuable knife.

(And real.)

Thanks guys! Funny thing, now that I own this knife I can see how awesome a genuine Strider would be to own and want one even more now! I might just own both come tax return time! Im really enjoying carrying this Buck around. Its replacing my CRKT M16 14D as my EDC.
