I have been looking for a plain edge nice shape one of these. Usually the price is more than my modest budget will allow for. Just missed one last week for 70.00 but that is rare.
Do these knives have mostly a collector interest or are they truly great knives to carry and use? Even the more ordinary versions (no Bos heat treat) appear to go very quickly.

Opinions and thoughts please.

They were a decent knife for the 50 bucks they used to cost. I actually found a new one in a store last summer for $69.99. I played with it for awhile then flipped it for an Emerson. I knew even used, I could get more than I put in to it. I've had 3 or 4 of them including the 882 Tarani throughout the years and once they got discontinued, I was able to get more than I originally paid.

Just remember, it is a Strider design that is built by Buck so essentially, you get a Buck knife that looks like a Strider. Much like other collab knives. It is a good user but I wouldn't pay some of the prices that are being asked for one today.

Thanks very much for the input. I may just get something still in production like a CS Recon or BM 710.
