buck strider military bushings

should the military have one or two bushings (I think that's what the ring between the blade and the handle at the pivot are called)? A friend of mine got one with only one, and I didn't know whether to tell him to send it back.

You may find one is larger than the other if my Alpha is anything to go by so it may be worth a close look .
