Buck strider mini, dubious liner position?

Hi, all (especially Mr. Houser)

I just got my Buck Strider Mini in spearpoint.

It's great -- love it lots! The build is indeed incredible for a small knife of this size. The scales are rough, but I appreciate them after having slid around on a few other knives. The blade stock -- whew!!

I have a question -- on a regular, slow thumb-only open, the liner goes about halfway across the tang.

Is this any cause for concern? Should I send it in to be adjusted/serviced? Will it start creeping across under regular use? I'm used to seeing the liner start on the left edge and then eventually work its way to the middle and stop.

Thanks.

While a lot of Liner locks will start on the edge of the knife, we here at Buck like to have a little more engagement on our products. It's our preference. No need to have it adjusted, it will wear after awhile, but our warrentee will take care of it when it wears out. It should last a long long while before that happens. I suspect you would wear the blade out 1st.. :)

Hope this helps

Jeff
