I recently purchased a Buck-Strider mini tanto 1st production run (BG-42). Very stout little knife, only one problem. The combination of a tight fitting pocket clip and very aggressively textured G10/11 handle slabs made it feel as if it would eat a hole on my jeans in about two days.

Well problem solved. I found a great guy here on Bladeforums that modifies these knives. For a VERY modest charge he will: smooth and coutour the handle slabs, polish the clip, polish the spacers, polish all the screws, and polish and sharpen the blade. I opted to leave the blade alone since it is serial numbered and engraved. As far as the other modificatons they look great!!! It still retains the rugged tactical dig a hole with it if you have to feel but now it more refined and in my opinion more user friendly

Lucky for me TODD is local to me even so the turn around time was 1 day!!

If you want a new look and feel for you Buck-Strider drop Todd/TODD1 an email at tfoster7@triad.rr.com I am having camera issues but will try to post a pic later

Thanks Todd
Geoff

Nice mod!

The Buck Strider is a bit "agressively checkered".
I always thought that term was funny
