*Disclaimer*
I'm quite satisfied with my B/S, just nit-picking over some little details that I'd just let fly in a less expensive folder. Now on to the comments:
I read about another B/S owner that sent in his folder to Buck to adjust the pivot pin.
I adjusted the pivot pin to be quite tight so that my blade will not scrape the liners when I open it and so the liner lock engages at the left side. At looser settings, the side to side blade play becomes such that I can push the blade over to touch the liner, and the liner lock engages too far over to the right.
My folder's pivot pin will loosen over time from the tightest openable position to an unacceptable, wobbly blade position. It takes less than 200 opening-closing cycles to do this. Is there a problem with this? If so, is there any way that I can fix it myself, or will I have to send it in to Buck Knives to fix?
I'm hoping that you'll recommend I just use Loc-Tite, since I won't have to go through the hassle of sending off a perfectly usable knife just because I'm picky
