Just picked one up from TAD today. This knife makes me understand why others were paying +$300.00 for AR's & SNG's. It's not fair to compare these 3 knives so this review is not biased by having had the use of either the ar or sng. (I have been carring a B/S 880sp) The scales are just the right texture to provide a firm grip without tearing up you pocket. The shape of the handle makes the 3" ATS-34 blade a natural extension of your hand thru many positions. Thumb rest on top of the blade machined out nicely, no sharp edges. The thumbhole is too small for me, but the stud works just fine. The finish on the top half of the blade also serves to thumb out the blade when needed. The serrations are just the right length-not too long, but useful. If the blade is not going to be BT coated, then the slightly dull finish is better than beadblasting (for avoiding corrosion & unsightly marks) Even with the seemingly thin liner, lockup is solid. The only thing I immediately thought of doing is blackening the pocket clip, which is ambi. Even though this is a tatical looking knife, it should be sheeple friendly since the blade isn't that long. I like the fat spearpoint style. Overall I would say if you like spearpoint folders & only buy one knife this year, get this one. It should fill many roles & voids in one's EDC lineup. (this one won't get rotated) Or you can wait, other models of this are supposed to be out later. I haven't chopped down any redwoods or skinned any gators yet, but I'm sure someone will accomadate those so curiously inclined. Paid $135.00 + tax and while they wouldn't tell me how many they got, you should be able to get one if you move now. anyone else had any use from this fine knife?

I was wondering the exact same thing...I might hold off ordering one until they release the PE version if there are plans to do so
