Thinking of getting a buckstrider solution, i need a visual comparison before i purchase one. can anyone post a picture alongside any one of these, Benchmade nimravus, emerson PUK, Busse7, CRK P1 or a Shadow.

thanks

Well, I don't have a digi-cam, but since nobody has answered yet, I'll try to give an impression.

This is actually a bigger knife than I had thought it'd be. The blade length is exactly what it was advertised at, but it's more massive in an overall sense. At the widest part of the blade, it's wider than the Busse Basic 7, and about the same width as a Camp Tramp. The handle is very spartan and straight-lined, but fits my hand very well. The scales are pretty thin, but again the width (or height) is great enough to fill up my grip.

The finger choil is very comfortable too, which was a surprise. I can almost get two fingers in there, which gives me enough room to get my thumb out to the tip and control fine cutting very well. Hopefully, someone will post some pics here!

Another good comparison pic would be with the Becker C/U 7, as its blade is VERY similar to the Basic 7 in all dimenisons but thickness.

Don't know if I helped at all but there you go. :)

xman,
I don't have a digi cam that works, or any of those other knives for that matter. ;)
Hopefully someone in the forum will have both and will be able to help.
Take care,
