If you have this knife you will notice the back of the knife while it is in the closed position where it would meet for lockup with the linerlock and the stop pin in the back, the BG42 is cut very sharp and jaggered that it is chewing up the stop-pin in the back. Is this because the first 500 are processed at a quicker speed with a sacrifice for quality. Eventully the titanium pin will deteriorate and the lockup will not be as secure. (I also have the large tanto in ATS34 and that part is polished and finished smooth as glass.)

Backup,

The blades are lazer cut and that gives them a slightly rough finish but it should not be anything that could hurt the stop pin. If you would like, you can send it in ot my attention and i will have it polished out at no charge.

I did notice the same thing on my Strider. It did not appear that the rough finish would affect the lockup. I used a Dremel tool to slightly polish out the ridges. In my opinion there is nothing to worry about.
