I just received the above knife and had no idea of the stregth of this thing. This is by far the strongest and best built folder I have ever seen. Glad that I waited for the spearpoint version of the Strider. Great job with this venture with Strider Knives.
Thank you BUCK Knives.

I am considering the purchase of a spearpoint Strider. What more can you say about it? How thick are the bevels? Is it sharp? How thick is the liner? How is the lock-up?

Dennis,
I will take measurements of the Strider's dimentions when I get home and will post them then.

Thanks. I really like the looks of it. I wasn't too crazy about the tanto, especially the thick front edge. I want a knife that is tough and cuts well.

OK here are some measurements for the spearpoint:
Length Closed 5.35" 136.5 mm
Blade length 3.91" 100 mm
Blade Thickness 0.177" 4.5 mm (WOW)
Handle thickness 0.663" 16.7 mm
Liner Thickness 0.082" 2mm
G10 Thickness 0.114" 2.9 mm
Pocket clip is Stainless steel threaded into a metal reinforcements pressed into the G10
The blade appears to travel on phosphor bronze washers-this makes the action butter smooth.
The stop pin is 0.250" dia and is held in place by Torix fasteners that go through the G10 handle slabs.
The area of the blade is radiused where it contacts the stop pin. This allows for more surface contact between the blade and stop pin.
The handle slabs are not chamfered and some may not like the "feel" of the handle. A little work will round them off if desired.
The G10 has a rough texture that I really like.
Torix screw construction is used throughout.
The thumb stud appears to be reversable.
Tip up carry.
The blade is BG-42 bead blast finish, heat treated by Paul Bos but I believe that the regular production will be ATS-34. If you have any thoughts about getting one of these it would be worth the extra time and $ to find one of the first production run knives with the BG-42 steel. If you do not like it I would think you would be able to sell it for at least what you paid.
My overall impression is this is one STRONG folder and a must have if you are into big folders.

Thanks for the info. I will most likely be geting one.
