got a buck/strider tanto for xmas, looked at one at a BM store a few months ago and have to have one - a massive, heavy duty knife imho - pros/cons follow:
when inertia opened the lock would go over so far ya would need a key, etc to slide it back into the open position - stopped after about 20 or so openings, works fine now, not a hint of a chance of accidental unlocking- works fine now.....
on the pocket clip, 2 screws were torx, 1 hex?? EM'd joe houser w/buck and have new screws on the way.....
pivot screw was loosening up enough ya got blade play in the closed position, not the open , loc tited the screw per instructions from joe, no more probs.....
till ya get used to it,i was pinching the pi$$ outta myself 'tween the blade and pivot stop(?) but after a little familiarization, no more of that - i guess big hand/no experience w/knife was the prob
was KINDA sharp when i got it, but about an hour on the old spydie ceramic/DMT fine and its hair poppin sharp now .....
other than that no probs, a heavy heavy duty folder, carries better than ya would think, no worries about spine whacking this thing lol -
if ya want a serious folder, no nonsense, not the prettiest thing imho, but 110% functional, try 1 ya wont be disappointed i promise ya...
only prob is ya will get an irresistable urge to own custom strider folders, which, i guess, isnt a bad thing, just hard on the wallet lol
a helluva knife, i carry mine daily, what else can i say?????
