Aloha all,
I am just wondering if anyone has picked up either one of these knives and has any kind of opinion on them. I liked the feel and fit in my hand as well as the shape and size of the blade. I know these are tactical knives but that is all that I know. What is a better buy? Is there a HUGE difference besides the handle composition? I also know the pricing between the 887 and the 882 is about 40 bucks.

By the OVERWHEMING response to my question (sarcasm) I guess I have to apologize for my question if it sounded too moronic.

I just wanted to know if there is any differences in the folders besides the handle material, the size of the blades and the costs. If the only reason for the price difference is the handle material and blade size then I am thinking of getting the G-10 Strider 882 SBTG.

Any comments on how these perform?

Thanks Jeff! :D

I will now start thinking of the G10 handle since it has a thicker liner. Nothing like the feel and security of a good lock-up on a folder.

Did you finally decide on which one you wanted? Which one did you like?

I appreciate the pointing me in the right direction. I also did not know of that forum so I will start posting my kinfe questions there.

Yes I decided on the 887 police advocate.. I will be getting that next month when the money is back up again .. I really wanted an assisted opener this month so I went with a Kershaw leek.. but I will own a buck strider next month :) .. Im not too big on the scale type .. I would perfer g-10 but the taccom is just fine with me and the blade steel ats over 420 is not that big of a deal to me either.. price is though lol .. anyway glad I could help ya.. take care and hope ya enjoy what ever you decide on .. sounds like any of them would be very nice to own..

Guess what...I am looking at a 887 now. I am leaning towards the cost factor since my list is getting LONGER AND LONGER for each blade that I want.

Thanks for your help again Jeff. I appreciate it. :D

No problem at all man .. here is the one I was gonna get .. about the cheapest I have been able to find.. I was just about to click buy it now.. but I really can;t afford it right now.. and Im sure there will be the same deal next month .. or close.. anyway hope this helps ya out I know alot of people don't like ebay but I have been very lucky so far EBAY Buck strider
