Buck Strider/Tarani and Buck 110 questions

Just looking for advice - I bought the last remaining Buck Strider Tarani Police model in ATS-34 (Catalogue number 5608) from a B&M store about 2+ years ago - it was a cheaper alternative before jumping into the real thing. I really like the knife - however the liner lock opens at the slightest hint of pressure. I believe it might be a design flaw - the liner lock is VERY thin. In a fit of genius I took it apart, and haven't been able to reassemble it. So it sits all alone unassembled, and it's killing me every time I look at it. This model is long since discontinued - so probably no chance whatsoever of a replacement. And I took it apart which might have voided the warranty. Anyone know of someone who might be able to help put Frankenstein back together again?

Also - I bought a new Buck 110 about 1 1/2 years ago, and it has a LOT of blade play. No pivot to adjust - is there any trick to adjust the tightness and reduce some of the play?

I would send the strider back to Buck, they are great about fixing things like that! Plus, list any concerns you had with it and they will fix them for you. If you don't want a replacement knife be sure to say that in the note to them.

For the 110, send it with the strider, let them know the issue and they will make it right. You can fix it yourself if you look around on the web how to do it, but I wouldn't if you're sending the strider back anyways.

Buck CS is great! So don't hesitate to send them your stuff. Just be sure to include a note of what you would like done.

Just send it to Buck for warrenty. I have 6 of the Buck/Strider/Tarani folders and I have never had a problem with the thinner liner lock. Buck did go with a thicker lock on the last models of the series, but mostly because customers were concerned about the thickness and not because the locks were failing. I also owned a Strider SNG which was the same size but the Strider is a different knife (Ti frame lock, ect). Mine was really nice and opened and closed like a silk dream. However it was 4 times the price of an already expensive Buck collaboration.
