As I sit here and look at this knife , I think it is more and less than expected . Without a doubt this is a fine knife , but it could have been much more .Most of the complaints I have seen and heard about this SBT folder are about the handle material , and the "thin "liners . I can tell all of you the reason for these two things ... If this knife was built like the other Buck/Strider folders i.e. G-10 and Thick liners and priced in the same catagory as the 880 , it would effectively be the same as the Striders at 1/2 to 1/3 the cost . I believe this knife was shot in the foot from the begining . I like the knife . It is a great overall shape , blade and handle . It is laser sharp . It is a very smooth opener , VERY smooth . It has some inovations like the stipleing above the grind . BUT I think this knife was made to coax those of us who can't quite afford a real Strider to save our pennies , and lop off an arm to get the real thing .I am not sure about keeping this knife .... Only time will tell .

I agree with you, hopefully the others models of this knife will have improvements.
