Have any of you guys got one of these or handled one in the flesh or seen any reviews on them?

ATS-34
Bos heat treated
Ambi

Only $106 from NGK

I'd be interested to hear anything about them, good or bad.

You can see one HERE

I had no use for them from the specs and the pictures, but after I've handled a few I think they're not bad at all.

The liner lock looks sooo thin ... but it sure seems to hold well. We get used to manufacturers using the thickest piece they can and bragging about it, but these liners are metal, after all, and even relatively thin metal is strong. I couldn't make one slip. Even so, they aren't meant to be prybars.

The blade is nice, pretty thick at the back, with that roughened finish for gripping. Very good size overall, fits in my hand real well, like a ... like a Strider.

I'd rather have a Strider. But they cost too much! :)

It's a cool design for sure but I just can't get excited about the FRN handles.

Check this on Buck forum

However you better wait for coming G10 version, which is already on Buck website:
Great, thanks for the info. I'll wait for a bit and see if there is a plain edge version of the G10, especially if the liner is a bit thicker which seems to worry some people. I know the serrated part is probably useful for what the knife was designed for but I have no real use for it and I'm not keen on part serrated blades.

By the way, New Graham has the Tarani with a plain edge also.
I think the one they have is the "older" version before the G10 scales. I'm not really in any hurry to get this one so I think I'll wait a while and see what comes out.

Right now I have my new custom on the way and some time in the next couple of weeks I should be getting a Spyderco SPOT. If I buy any more right now my wife might "suggest" I'd like to go live in the shed with my knives for a while!
