buck strider titanium surface?

Just wondering what the surface finish/coating is on the buck strider's titanium liners.

I'm comparing to Emerson and Benchmade liners, which are shiny and have a grain, whereas the buck strider's are grey, matte, and have no grain.

What's the treatment to make it like this?

Jon,
They are indeed a matte finish. Probably to reduce glare which seems to be the theme with the rest of the knife.
I'm not sure how they get it this way. The liners seem to be bead blasted also (?) They also have a slight cross grain finish.
