Buck/Strider vs Mt Socom

Can anyone give me a compare/contrast of the new Buck Strider 882 vs a Microtech mini Socom Elite? This will be my EDC on duty knife. I carry an Emerson CQC-7 now and like knifes that can take a beating if it comes down to it. I have heard that the Socom is not a touch as it should be.
