I'm hoping with a retail of $200, it's in the USA. I've been searching for a replacement for my Benchmade AFCK, and the 880SP looks like it would do nicely. However, I prefer domestic products.

Thanks,
Dave

Welcome to the forums Dave!
Yes, they are made right here in sunny, (Oops i forgot we are not in San Diego anymore), snowy Northern Idaho.

I HAVE AFRIEND WHO HAS THE 880. I HAVE THE 882. BOTH VERY DEPENDABLE KNIVES.YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Thanks guys,

It looks like buck got this one right. Benchmade had it right, but now all of their knives are axis lock, aluminim handled, and on the smallish side. I've carried the AFCK everyday for 13 years. I'm a Professional Firefighter, so my EDC sees a good amount of serious duty. It's time for a replacement and the 880SP has everything I need, and nothing I don't. A big liner lock with a plain ATS-34 spear point, and G10 scales. I can't believe it.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

I think you are right on with your analysis of the 880 SP. I work in law enforcement and I EDC my 880SP, It is a very dependable large liner lock knife. It will be bigger that your 710. The 880 is very robust with very good blade steel, titanium liners and G10. I think I could probably cut my way through a car door with it if I had too. :D
