Buck Survival

Gentelmen,

I got this nice "survival" Buck and trying to find our what model this is and when was it made...

No marking on a blade just BUCK USA, and nothing else...

Comes with Kydex/ nylon sheath and I guess made of Buck 410HC steel?

That is a Buck Intrepid, there are two sizes the 187 Intrepid I was a little shorter than the 189 Intrepid II. they came with the blade like yours or a full chisel tip. These are the real Intrepid's, I don't care for the new version.

looks like info i found - 1998-2002?

I found them in the 2001 & 2002 catalog's but not in the 2003. They are listed as having 420HC steel. The Intrepid-L found in the 2015 catalog is a different design knife with a different look and features. DM
