one of the scales on my daily carried SAK broke off yesterday, and i have a couple others in my modest collection. so i dug through through the box that has my modest collection of folders and found a knife id call a swiss army knife, yet its marked Buck. it has black scales(the only place on it where it says Buck), two blades, a saw blade, two can openers. on the backside is a corkscrew and a leather punch. my girlfriend of 17 years bought it for me when we were still in high school('93), and i carried it for awhile, but its been pretty much put up for maybe 15 years. the larger of the 2 blades, 2 1/4" is marked: Wegner Delemont Switzerland stainless, and it has an umbrella. none of my other 2 SAKs are marked like this, so is it a good one? im gonna start carrying it daily to compliment my new 112 i recently bought for my back pocket daily carry.

Wegner? Never heard of it. Wenger, on the other hand was one of the two official Army Knives of Switzerland. Victorinox was the other company which now has ownership of Wenger, so they are all made by one parent company now.

Buck apparently contracted with them in years past, but someone else here may have the details.

LOLOLOL allright man, you got me. Wenger. Victorinox are on my other two, thats why i asked.

Actually, when I was typing that I did a finger-reflex thing and typed Wegner where I meant Wenger and had to correct it to make my post legit. :foot: :D
