Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone else saw these good buys.

There are good buys on Buck Tarani G-10 ATS34, Buck Sirus CM154 or ATS34, and Buck red Code 3 Crosslocks at the below link:

http://www.dantesknife.com/bestbuys.htm

I just picked up a few of the Tarani's myself.

I do not know this place personally and am not affiliated with them in any way. I thought I would just let the rest of you know about these knives.

10-4 on what Messy said.
The price is cheaper than any of the five Buck Striders I have.

Chevelless...
You can search for "882", "889", or "298GY" to see my opinions on those knives.
But I will save you a trip...the 882/9 and the 298GY are my FAVORITE folders.

That's all I have to say about that.
Gump.

Got an update for you on the Buck Tarani knives I ordered. I received the 3 knives I ordered on 7/9/07 but they turned out to be the TACCOM-handled (glass reinforced nylon) knives instead (model #B882BKX). They were NOT the G-10 handled knives (model #B882SBTG) that I ordered. Everything I received (website, photo of knife on website, sales receipt, emailed copy of sales receipt, even confirmed with the phone conversation) mentions that I should have received the #B882SBTG model (G-10 model) but that is not what I received.

If anyone else ordered these Buck Tarani knives from this website, be sure to check your shipment when it arrives as they could be the wrong ones as well.

As of this writing, I noticed that he did change his website listing for Handle Material to now read as "Handle Material: TACCOM Glass Reinforced Nylon" when before it read as "Handle Material: G-10" when I ordered them. So, it sounds like he now knows it was a mistake. But he still has contradictory info in his listing for this knife. He still lists it as "Make/Model: Buck SBTG Police Knife" which is the G-10 model. Also lists "Dantes Model #: B882SBTG" which is the G-10 model. And he still has a picture of the G-10 model up for this knife (you can tell because the picture handle has screws instead of rivets).

I will be phoning this website later on Tuesday 7/10 to get this cleared up with them.

Granted, the price he is selling these for is still a good price for the TACCOM handled knives but they were not as advertised (at least in my case) and not what I wanted.

I will let you all know how this works out.

I, basically, just wanted to let you guys know that if you ordered any of these knives, to make sure you check your order thoroughly when you receive it from them.

Thanks for the update. I was about to order one (the Mrs ok'd it for an early birthday present!) but now I'm not so sure. Still a decent price but I really wanted the version with G10 scales and torx screws.

Yes, thanks 70. Some people don't know...either as buyers or sellers. There is a big diff between the FRN and G10 and I would be bummed too if I were you.

I ordered a Buck 882SBTG yesterday and I got an e-mail from Dantesknife.com informing me that they made a mistake and the model they had on sale was a Buck 882BKX. They put a credit on my credit card and apoligized for the error. I called back and ordered one anyway because the price was right. I hope I get a good one w/ no lock issues or "Off center" Blade.

 ...Just couldn't pass on another 298GY...Ya never know when you'll need a second...or third...or fourth... ...LOL...:p :D
