Buck Tarani strider BOX for$45?!!??!?

Ok, I have NEVER been a fan of strider, that aside. On a major auction site there is a BOX, yes, BOX only for $45. Best part is that it's pretty ratty.

Am I missing something here? Have they really gotten that rare or pricey that a box is $45 now?

Even the cheaper varieties (rivets instead of screws in handles) have been going for $150 to $175 lately (NIB or MIB) and they're not making any more of them.

Apparently there is demand to go with the shrinking supply, thus......prices go up.

People seem to like them.

Go figure.

opps didn't mean to go off topic. I forgot to post also that although someone might be asking $45 for a box doesn't mean anyone will buy it... I looked on completed auctions and one box sold for $4.50 and $6 shipping... thats as high as the bidding on it got.
