Buck tempest - mirror polished blade

Ok, before I go into this, let me say this is a great site with great people- your replies to my question on the 651 "Pig Sticker" was tremendous help. Along with the 651, I was able to purchase a Buck Tempest B295-RD-0 dated 1/08/07 #5609) that has the Idaho stamp and a "Mirror Polished" blade...I've also looked the net over and have found a few variations of the Tempest but none with the mirror polished blade. Have any of you guys come across this? I will load some pictures soon of it.

Wolf, I think Buck did that only as an introductory offer the first year that model came out.2005.Somebody correct me if I'm in error.DM

Late last year, Buck had a closeout sale in Idaho. Thats where they sell all of the "build out" knives and such. They had alot of variations of tempests that sold. Some had custom stamps as well. My guess is Buck was planning on offering these as a limited knife or custom shop option. They also had Rush knives the same way. There was alot of these sold on ebay for a couple months after the sale! Nice knives, I gave one to my brother as a user. (Custom stamp mirrored blade)
