Thinking about a Buck TNT Mayo any thoughts, hows the lock up and overall quality?

This is an excellent knife in general. I have owned two. The first one came dead perfect centered. It was very smooth in opening and the lock bar engaged at a very nice 1/4 mark(maybe a touch less). I gave that one to a Military buddy of mine as a gift. I missed it after a while and got another. Everything was the same except for the lockup. It barely engaged unless you opened it with a snap/flick. However, once opened in this manner, it stuck quite significantly. You really had to dig your thumb in there and put some real pressure to disengage the lock. The good news is that this went away after a couple of weeks and pretty much became a mirror image of the first one i owned. I then had to sell that one to defray the cost of a somewhat hard to find knife i had been looking for for ages. It's been a few months now. Guess what? I'm getting yet another one. Did i mention that i am really fond of this knife? One of my grail knives is a custom Mayo. Till i have saved up enough, though, this is an excellent EDC.

I have both the TNT and it's smaller cousin, the Waimea. Fit and finish on both knives is outstanding and the action on both is very smooth. Out of the box they were two of the sharpest knives I've ever owned. I carry the Waimea more than the TNT since it's slightly smaller.
Here's my Waimea (customized by STR)

The TNT is a really nice Ti-framelock, especially for $200.
I just played with one yesterday and was very impressed.
I would have bought it except that I just purchased the smaller version, the Waimea, and couldn’t justify another folder right now.

The lockup is fine, plenty of room for wear and break-in.
The overall quality is very good. It makes CRK’s and Bradley’s look rather unfinished.

The Buck/Mayo series: TNT/Waimea, are very underrated knives. The action is as smooth as many customs. They are that good.

Thanks for the photo very good comparison. Is that a large or small sebenza in the photo?

Fantastic knife. I own two. One for carry and one backup. It's a great Ti framelock folder. Great steel with great heat treat. Very light, very sharp, and very pretty. The Mayo holes really give it a custom look and feel. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great knife. Another folder I shouldn't've gotten rid of. Affectionately referred to as the Buckbenza. Deservedly so.
