Have just finished reading the Small knife challenge thread. It inspired me to find my Buck
Solo knife. Its a good size for pocket carry I find.

I always liked the pen knife pattern. I'm going to buy the Companion or the Lancer, but I'm unsure of the size-differences. Do any of you guys have these and post a comparison? Would be much appriciated.
And are there any difference between the Lancer and the Deuce besides the steel and country?

Morten

The 305 Lancer is the top knife in the photo and the 309 Companion is second from the top. Apparently these two models were discontinued this year, but both are readily available on auction sites. Handle material is different for the Lancer and Deuce.

What model is the knife with the number 3 on the blue tape?

The 307 Wrangler is the largest of the 3 blade stockmans.

Bert - Could you please give us the model numbers of your lineup of knives from top to bottom.

I know some are on a phone and need a simple question answered. But, and I say it for the forty fifth time, do a forum search to get good info. I typed in 317 in the search box at the top of the Buck forum page and got 38 pages where the model number 317 was mentioned, many with photos.. If you have the time, you can do a search and get more information and photos than you likely want to see. But you get answers without asking and waiting for a reply.

When you get chastised you get a PM. As moderator. who constantly reads and interacts with Buck forum posters I have every right to comment to all folks on this thread that doing a quick search gives a wealth of knowledge in return. 300Bucks

I didn't realize I was not allowed to ask a simple question like everyone else on this forum does. Maybe I don't belong here when I get chastised for an innocent questions.
He was not chastizing you. He was merely pointing out that you can search BF for answers. Of course, this is not as much fun as engaging in a conversation.

Sometimes I search here and don't get an answer, I go to Google search and find what I want on a thread back here. Go figure!

BTW. That is usually what leads to me getting chastised for thread necromancy. I forget its an old thread and comment.

Nice to have a place like this were we can talk back and forth, it's not always about simple information. Ed

Nice set Bert!

Your question is legit. If there aren't questions then this place would be a morgue. The LIKE button has replaced some comments that used to take place.

I ask what seems to be silly questions all the time, I thought that's what this place is for. If we all did a search instead of asking questions there wouldn't be a need for any threads...

You can't type emotions, so when 300 jumps in he's trying to help, most of the time (Ha!Ha!), so ask away. If we get tired of your questions we'll let you know...

How many 110's has Buck made since it was introduced??
