I recently sent to Buck a 110 that was given to me as a gift awhile back. The blade was loose and didn't snap shut to good. It also was a bit tarnished from being in the sheath for awhile. Anyway, they repaired it, cleaned it up for me and sent it back rahter quickly. I am quite impressed with this company so far. My question is about the date symbol stamp.

After 110 it used to be a capital V for 1989. Now it has the Capital V with a vertical line in the middle. Does this mean 2007 or is it Buck's way of knowing what they have repaired?

Thanks for any and all info...

They put a 2007 blade it it.

I think someone has posted a pic here somewhere of that 2007 year stamp....somewhere,,,I think

Thanks Goose, I thought it was you that posted that. CRS is beating on me.

Maybe that will give Hambone what he wanted to know..... hummm.....that is MShambone

Do we have a lady among us? :D

Thanks a bunch for the info. That's exactly what the symbol looks like. So now if I were to list it would I call it a 1989 or a 2007 or both? I was contemplating selling it or trading it for a 301. Not sure.

BTW ms stands for Matthew Steven and hambone is a nickname from way back when. I didn't think of Ms. Hambone when I came up with the username. Oh well.

Thanks again for the info.
