I just purchased the Buck Vantage Pro, Avid, and Select. Out of all of them, I personally like the Avid the best. It came razor sharp and I REALLY like the handle material. Does anyone know if there are any other handle color options available? All I've seen is the charchoal, which I really like, but was wondering if there were other options as well.

Do a search for Buck Vantage photos. I have the black/grey and the cherry wood Buck buildout that Buck offered on their web site bur they are all gone now. There might be more. I am sure someone on the forum will chime in shortly.

The Vantage has so many options it is silly. Buck came out with the Desert and Camo colors this year. Like the last poster stated, Buck did a buildout cherry wood, Bond Arms has an exclusive Vantage in both Black Ash and red wood, Hornady has a red wood with a black coated blade and the business name on it. Buck also has the Force models, If you still don't see anything you like, there is another option, CUSTOM... I had Jered from JAG Custom knives do a set of Carbon Fiber scales for my Pro. He also works with any color G10, Micarta and has several options. He is a member here and can help you out if so desired. He does great work.

I have a pro but the scales were meh... I think the avid scales (dymondwood) looks best at match my Sig P220 Equinox perfectly. I bought some avid scales and now my Vantage Pro is my favorite knife.

where did you find scales only for sale?

From Buck. It was $10-15 shipped if I recall correctly.

Do you recall how you ordered them? By phone or e-mail? I was told via Joe Houser that they didn't sell "parts" as a rule when I asked to buy a pocket clip for a Vantage. I'd love to get more sets of Vantage scales.
