Buck Vantage Force blades - interchangeable?

Anyone know if the blades on the Vantage Force knives are compatible with each other? For example, would a stonewashed blade from a desert tan Force knife fit on a Pro? I'd love to have the combo of the stonewashed blade on a black/blue G10 handle.

Yes, I believe that all the blades as well as the handles are interchangeable.

It would be easier to just swap handles than it would be to swap blades and you'd have the same results. ;)

I believe Dave is right, the Force blades are interchangeable, but you can't mix and match the regular Vantages with Force Vantages. Too bad though, I'd love a regular blade on a Vantage Force handle.

Sorry Matt, but yes you can. I just took the blade out of a Vantage Force and installed it in a regular Vantage with no fit issues at all. the frames appear to be identical as are all other parts. The washers are different colors as are the screws, but they all interchange. I haven't tackled putting the regular blade in the Force frame yet but I see no reason it won't go just as smoothly.

I should have taken pictures of the blades side by side but that didn't occur to me at the time. The part of the blade that goes into the frame are identical in size and shape, the only real difference is the blade profile that I can see.

Swapping the blades is a job best done by someone that isn't blind in one eye and who doesn't have fingers like clubs. It's a bit tedious and I'd far prefer just swapping handles.

Done. Here's the Vantage Force (bottom) with the regular Vantage blade and the regular Vantage (top) with the Vantage Force blade.

Great to know. I may need to move some handles around now to make one more to my liking. Cool!

Dave that's assume, Thanks for that. I saw the piece in the force that closes off the handle and thought it just wouldn't work. I have some swapping to do...

Those regular g10 scales look good with the black blade!

The knife is the Force Avid that came with the aluminum scales. You could use those scales as wood rasps and I disliked them immediatly so I used a spare set of regular Vantage G-10's as replacements. Much more hand friendly now in my opinion.

Thanks Plumerdv!! I loved the feel of my Vantage Pro and I loved using it, but I never liked the bright pocket clip. I changed out the blade in mine and used the black handle screws and black pocket clip after seeing what you did with yours.

The Vantage Pro has been in my rotation for a few years now and I've used it a lot and liked it a lot, but I like it even better now!!:thumbup::thumbup:

I have several Vantage Force knives, but never used them because I didn't like the aggressive scales.

Wow, great photos guys. Thanks for this.

It's really helpful to see some of the combinations you have come up with.

Got my wish. I combined the Vantage Force Pro with the stonewashed blade from the Desert Tan Force.
