Hi all!

I bought Buck Vantage Pro 347BKS (I still have to wait 2 weeks for mail to come from the states) for $49 but here's interesting thing: various seller's report in their desription that handle is made of Fiber Glass enforced Nylon... while in same product code other's list it as G-10. How can you tell the difference or has some made mistake between fiber glass enforced nylon to G-10?

I am just curious of this... but I did not bought that for handles but for the S30V steel blade and super low riding clip.

IIRC the Pro is, in fact, G10. I think the problem you are finding is that there is the G10 Pro and the FRN Select. I'm not sure what the Avid is handled with. I have handled one and really like it. I need to pick one up.

Vantage Pro = G-10 handle / S30V blade
Vantage Select = glass reinforced nylon / 420HC blade
Vantage Avid = Dymondwood / 13C26 Sandvik blade

Thanks all. Now to wait till I get my Vantage Pro and see if I have to disassemble to get blade centered. Small troubles for otherwise such good knife.

Make sure you check the lockup when you get it. I went to my local sports shop the other day and I was looking at getting one of those, but whever it locked up, it sometimes missed? Its almost as if the liner didn't have enough tension on it to push it over in front of the blade...

Just a heads up. Maybe it was just that one knife.

Thanks, luckily buck has their Forever Warranty. If lock-up doesn't work, I contact Buck customer's service.

i just got one in...since inquiring minds want to know...blade is centered...tip not banging on end...flipper flicks out blade without any initial adjustment...lockup is snappy and tight...

i wish i would have got the avid though; dymondwood handle has better look and sandvik steel is quicker to sharpen...

I have to snap mine open crisply to get it to lock first time, every time. I can't decide if I should send it in or just see how it acts with a little more use.
