My wife gave me a Vantage Pro for a gift a while back (now that's a woman that knows how to shop). I used my DMT aligner kit to drop the edge angle a bit lower than the factory angle and then stropped it up to a nice shine. Since then its entered my EDC rotation and I've been using it to cut cardboard, plastic, whittle wood, etc... and I've been extremely impressed with Buck's S30V blade. Takes a great edge and stays sharp for a long time, and it only takes a few minutes on the sharpmaker to get it back shaving again. If I had the money I'd get another just to have a backup! I don't know if its just the nature of S30V steel or the Paul Bos heat-treat that does it, but for me it beats VG-10, 154CM, 13C26, and all the others in my rotation - plus the shape of the blade works really well for what I need.
It also feels good in the hand, the contoured G-10 scales are really nice and still grippy even though they're smoothed. Mine has an excellent lockup (although I've heard there have been some issues there, but Buck's warranty is second to none) and I personally appreciate that fact that the lockbar is not jimped - it can't bite my index finger under hard use like some of my other linerlocks. The only thing I'd change on this knive is to add a lanyard hole.
Now that I'm thinking about it, the Vantage Pro is probably my favorite lock-blade knife (and I have several really nice Bucks, Spydercos, Kershaws, and Byrds).
