So, I was in a Bass Pro today and decided to browse the knife cases and saw the Vantage Pro and embarrassingly cut myself right in front of the counter employee. LOL. So, I later decided that i definetly want this knife and the only question i still have is......What size???? If someone can give input on what roles to use either for and maybe post a side by side for comparison, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's pretty much whatever you like the best. I prefer larger knives because they fit my hand better, but both will get the job done.

I agree with whatever you will like best. I wear L-XL gloves, and the large model fits my hand great - I don't have the small model though. If you intend to use the knife for harder work where you need a better grip or food prep where you need a larger blade, get the large. If you intend to just use it for small edc tasks, get the more pocket-friendly small. I think both are about the same thickness in the pocket, so the length is the only thing that is different, and that usually doesn't matter because neither of them touch the bottom of your pocket when clipped.

I have a large Vantage Pro and it does not seem overly large to my smaller sized hands.

I have read a few posts from owners of the smaller Vantage Pros in which the owners felt the handle was really too small for them.

I got a Vantage Pro (normal size) and a Paperstone Vantage (small size). Got L-XL size hands. Both knives are nice. Deep pocket carry, nice drop point blade shape. The small one is a nice office folder and you don't even notice that you've got it. The only problem I've got with the small one is that the flipper is too small to operate (ok, it still works, but it is more difficult to flick open in one smooth motion). The normal size one doesn't have this problem.
Ergos of both knives are good, but normal size one is better in my case since the larger handle is more hand filling. I can get a good grip on the small handle, but if I have to cut a lot it is less comfy off course (let's say; it's small :) ).

So personally I prefer the normal sized one over the small sized one since it fits my hands better (and has s30v steel vs 420HC of the paperstone small. Note: the small pro has s30v off course). However I tend to carry the small size one more often since it is often more appropriate at my work.

Which one is best for you depends on what you want to use the knife for and in which environment. If they have both versions at Bass Pro then check how they feel in hand.

Buy a large Pro and a small Select and you'll have the best of both worlds. The Select is a very decent knife and inexpensive; if you like it, you can always upgrade to the small Pro model later.
