Im curious if anyone owns both or has used both which one is better? mainly concerned with durability. I know the vantage is extremely durable but i havent seen much about the talus

Vanlage USA made, talus China made. Vantage is the only choice for me. Talus is fairly a small knife. I see it at buck factory sale a lot and not many people purchase it vs the vantage.

The Vantage is easily my favorite knife. The thing cuts like crazy, has a strong point, solid construction, low ride pocket clip, doesn't shred the pocket, is a manual flipper, and looks great. I'm biased though.

Another big Vantage fan here, have many of them and it's my EDC. Fits my hand well, great price for the quality you get, several versions if you look around (wish there were more still, hint to anyone who could help that).

Like most of us I have a pile of knives but the Vantage is the one I usually carry.

Sorry, don't have a Talus so can't comment on it.

Right On Guys!, I also am huge Vantage Fan have several myself and EDC them. I can honestly say from the Select to the Pro Force they are all in my book the best bang for your Buck. For a edc knife what is not to like? It's light , carries deep in the pocket , opens and closes with one hand has a few blade options. The 420hc not bad at all but I like the S30V better. Only cause it stays sharper a little longer and takes such a fine edge 👍 Don't own any Buck Knives made anywhere but in the USA and never will 😎 I don't think you will be disappointed with the Vantage Cam.🤓

MY WHAT A BEAUTIFUL VANTAGE YOU HAVE THERE!

I had 4 Vantage's at one time. (2) 845's Serrated & Non-Serrated, (1) 846 BOS Blade Non-Serrated & (1) 846 Green Handle Vantage. I just need the Tan one to go with my OD Green. I carried the 846 Serrated everyday until I had someone ask if I'd like to trade my (2) 845's for a TOPS/BUCK CSAR knife. So I jumped on that deal & just got the CSAR on Monday. The Vantage's are a great knife for everyday use. Very durable, lightweight & eye appealing at the same time.

My new folding Kalinga picked up at Army surplus for $45. Can't beat that. It is a 2010.:) Went for $120 - $160 New.

Yep, that is...you can take your mask off now that the robbery is over:D. Preston

There is no further education to be gained by the second kick of a dead mule:D there wasn't any robbery and I have been present here and there. If you are referring to me. I explained and it's over, Idiot.

No, no, I meant you got a very good deal on the Kalinga...like you stole it and wore a mask to do it. I'm sorry, Preston

I am very sorry and touchy about what happened a few weeks ago, with my son and the give away of the mouse pad and him getting banned. I thought you meant I took the mask off and started to write and take pictures again. My eyes were as big as moons when I saw the knife and asked to see it and then asked what the price was, i couldn't get the money out fast enough. Thanks I hope you understand Preston.

I do, and didn't think about your situation and it having a bearing on how my comment would be taken. Preston
