Decided on buying one of the two sizes, for about the same price, is there any preference over the two for edc?

Its really just up to you, do you prefer a smaller or larger blade? they both work just fine in my exp.

Personally, I prefer the large. It's a very slim knife to begin with so even the larger of the two carries very well. Besides, if you can get two knives for the same price why not choose the larger one. More steel for the money! Haha!

I have and carry the large model. I don't even notice it unless I reach in my pocket for something. The smaller size is nice but I just prefer a larger blade myself.

I have only owned the small, but for what it is worth, the small's handle was too short for a four finger grip. Was a 3 and a 1/2er, which is my least favorite handle size.

I had 2 of the smaller ones, the pro and the select, and sold them, just too small.....I currently have the large vantage avid, large vantage pro, and large vantage pro force. :D not too big, not too small, just fills the hand correctly. Plus its deep carry so no one can really see it anyway.

I like both the small and the large Vantage. I guess it really boils down to your preferences. In my case though, those dang vantages are like Lays potato chips, can't have just one! :D

Here are a couple comparison picks. Sorry for the quality. I threw the Stockman in for comparison.

Personally, the small is a little to small for me. For a flipper it's size, for my hand, is a little more difficult than the large. But, overall the small is a fine knife.

If you are in an area with a 3'' issue, the small is good. The large is 3 1/4 ''.

Overall the quality is fine on both.

I prefer the Large model. The scales are just right for a four finger grip with my XL glove size hand.

I've owned both the small and large. My first was a large Vantage Pro, followed by a small Select, and then a large Avid. I still have the two large knives, I gave away the small as it just didn't work for me. Personally I hated the size.
