Just got my new buck vantage select in the mail today, paid 22$ for it and i feel like it was a good buy, decent small-mid sized edc knife (its a bit small but fits my hand pretty good and is comfy)

Not sure how itll work but ill give it a bit of pocket time, im still looking for a high end knife to buy but i haven't been able to find anything i like that much to just drop straight cash on it, wish i knew where i could finance knives and pay monthly for them and id have no hesitation on buying the high end i like, *cough cough microtech select fire* but iv been looking around and iv found no such thing, feel free to inform me if you want @ soad2005@live.com, make sure you title it bladeforums suggestion so i know to read.

This knife doesn't have the centering perfect but it doesn't bother me for the price point available. I have always liked buck 420 hc and i like the deep carry pocket clip, has a nice blade shape and a great grind on the blade with a decent blade stock.

Ill update you guys in a few weeks on this knife and how it works for me.

(1 week update on my gerber icon and its been outstanding knife and has even kept its edge well and hasn't needed sharpening surprisingly)

You have a great folder!
I'd have one but nothing will bump my 422. Not even another Buck.

The Vantage Pro also has G10 handles vs. FRN on the Select. Nothing wrong with FRN, but I do like the feel of the G10 more. Mine (got the small Vantage Pro) also came pretty far off-center, just barely missing the liners. Turned out the bottom spacer (the piece the pocket clip is screwed into) was not flush with both liners. I tightened that back up (the screws are under the G10 scales), and then the blade closed perfectly centered.
