Buck Warranty department

This is my first post to the forum, so, hey everybody. I just wanted to do some bragging on Buck's warranty department. I still have my first 110 and 560 I ever bought. Both had the tips broken off and both were a little loose. I bought them back when I was young and single and had more money than sense. When they broke I just threw them in the drawer and went and bought new ones. I got to reading about Buck's warranty department on this website and figured I would give them a try. I also have an Alpha fixed blade in S30V that the edge just didn't look right. So I followed the instructions on the website, sent them off and 4 or 5 weeks later they all arrived back at home. Sort of. The 110 and 560 are awesome again. Fell in love with the 560 all over again too! But, they sent me an Alpha fixed in 12C17 instead of S30V. I gave them a call, sent it back on a Thursday and by the next Thursday (today) I got the new Alpha fixed blade in S30V. That's just one week, and there is 4 days of travel time and a weekend in there! AND they sent me a free knife to make up for the extra shipping cost.

So, I now have ANOTHER reason to love Buck Knives.

In case anybody is curious, the BIGGEST reason I have stuck with Buck Knives over the years is this: They are a God fearing family, who includes God in their company and not ashamed for anybody to know it.

Welcome to the Buck Forum... Buck knives are the best...

How about some pictures... Or you can save them for the Sunday picture show...

Excellent testimonial on how well they treat their customers. They really do practice what they preach.

Welcome to the Buck Forum. Hope you decide to call it home. Lots of great folks to go with those great knives you have.

Sorry, I can't let this one go by. So both product quality and customer service are second to the owner's religious beliefs? This has nothing to do with the pseudo-political issues that are currently discussed in American news? I'm assuming you're American (and republican) based on your post.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this discussion, but we're here, and you asked, so here it is. I like quality products and good customer service. Many companies offer both. The owner's religiuos beliefs are what makes this company stand above other other companies. I can't comment on the issues currently discussed on American news because I don't WATCH any and only LISTEN to very little. Most of it is garbage anyway. And yes, I am American and republican and baptist (I know you didn't ask, but if you were wondering). So, to clarify my point, if presented with two top quality products that are both backed with good customer service, I will choose the one that has chosen to follow God and make him part of what they do and not be ashamed of it. Now that I think of it, why wouldn't you? The bible lays out very good principals on ethical behavior towards fellow employees, those who work for you (the people you manage, vendors) and those you work for (bosses, customers). I have always based my work ethic on biblical principals, and God has blessed me for it. The bible does more than just tell us about Jesus Christ who came to this earth to pay for our sins so we can some day be with Him in heaven. Now I am just getting preachy, so I better quit.

Did that answer your question?

I love when companies honor their warranties. Glad to hear you had a good experience with Buck Knives. I have a Buck 119 that is I got when I was very young myself. It is very dear to me. You should post up some pictures of your bucks if you are able to.

OK, Folks

Tread lightly here or shut-down is coming. Here on the Buck forum you talk about Buck Knives. If someone respects the owners and lightly mentions they respect all aspects of the company leadership and standing in the community that will be tolerated. But, stuff like that should come with lots of knife talk included.

Deacon, giving respect to the Buck company and Buck family is allowed, most folks here know the Buck family beliefs, please hold statements on religion to a short statement. Also as a new poster, be cautious in being 'riled' by folks who do such things on purpose.

MrDeus, the freedoms allowed in America allow you to comment and I support your right, but the rules of this privately owned company called Blade Forums says you will do so very lightly in the subject of religion and politics or take those comments to the Good, Bad and Ugly forum where intense comments and discussions are allowed. This is the Buck knife forum and you never mentioned a Buck knife in your statement.

One of the BF owners over-riding policies is that we will all play nice together or you get sent home. Enough said.

This forum is for talk, discussion, praise, condemnation, comments , questions and photos of Buck knives. When we all get together at a meeting or knife show we seldom mention anything other than Buck knives, lets all do that here also. If anyone wishes to speak to me on this take it to the PM.

I think buck knives are made very well, I own many of them, and I have given many out over the years as gifts. They have great customer service, they have done a few repairs and replacements for me over the last 30 years. Oh yes and I am very happy they are Christ followers like you and me brother.

Of the 55 Buck knives I have two had QC issues. Both replaced by Buck knives. Few companies stand by their product as they will. What you mention is secondary to the real Buck customer service.
