 The iron clad warranty is not worth the paper it's printed on! I have three Buck Ionfusion coated knives (Vangard and Zippers). I have used two of them for several hunting seasons and they where great! Used the third one and the first time I used it the Ionfusion started coming off! I couldn't beleve it! I sent the knife in and it was returned with a letter saying they would not repair or replace it. Haven't bought buck knives since. Shame because the knife was also autographed by Chuck Buck himself.

I email a couple of people in customer service and have never heard back from them!

I'm looking at replacing my bucks anybody got any input on Bokers, Pumas or J Henckels?

I have had Bokers and a couple Pumas, only examined a Henckels...Stick with Buck.

If you are really set on giving up Buck, then AG Russell had advertised that he had some old (still NIB) Puma Deer Hunters. A lot more expensive than a 110, and the 110 is still IMO a better knife.

Sorry about the experience you have been through. Can I get you to send me an email with your name and address? I would like to look it up and see what happened. Who did you send emials to? I need to talk to them about returning those. We'll get this figured out.
Sincerley,

Sincerley,

I knew Joe wouldn't let this slip by...

As far as I'm concerned, Buck has got one of the most outstanding warranties out there.

I'm sure there was some mis-understanding somewhere along the line...

Hey Joe, check your email. I sent the pictures of the knife and letter I received from Buck to you. Hope you can help.

I hope so too. texou812 has been on a tirade, I see. Just catching up on my reading in the Buck forum, and I've run across three posts where he's posted the same complaint.

Make that four. The very next post I read had the same complaint. What gives?

Yeah, looks like a little rant the guy is on.

When I do see people comment that warranty is not whats expected, Joe ususally looks into it and takes care of it. Although when he says he will find out who at the company was involved, I hope that does not mean somebody gets in trouble for a little miscommunication.

Buck has the best service in the business, mistakes happen but Buck also has a reputation for correcting the mistake. Cut them some slack, the are an excellent company and well worth supporting. Think Im gonna carry my 110 today :D

No one is going to loose their job over this but it sure is an odd one. The whole thing happened back in January before we moved and the person who gave this warrantee "service" :o no longer works for us. Good thing too as I would be having a little chat with them. :grumpy:
I checked into it and took a look at the pictures of the knife. We owe this guy a knife!
I'm taking care of it.

Joe Houser is a fine gentleman. He will go the extra step to make sure things are done right for you.He is an asset to the Buck knife company. One reason why I would buy a Buck knife without any qualms about warranty.Folks like him is what makes Buck an excellent company.
