Buck warranty service

I was wondering what people have thought of Buck's warranty service. I have a 560 with the titanium handle that I got when they first started selling them. I carried it with me fishing for about a year before my buddy, who's farm pond we fished at for years ended up moving. I liked that knife so much I got a second and never used it. Anyway I have recently gotten out my collection and noticed that knife has quite a bit of play in the blade when it is open. I have contemplated sending it in. But have hesitations because of hearing stories of warrantied knives being peened to death to get a loose blade tight again and mashing the rivot. None of which were Buck knives. Has anyone had anything like this done? And what can I expect if I send it in? I know I can tell them I don't want it replaced and they will send it back, but have no experience with warranty service on any knife I have owned.
 
I highly recommend Buck's warranty service. I've sent a few knives in over the years. Each time, without fail, when they've sent the knife back I opened the box and said "Wow!" Incredible service.

Thanks guys! I will get it out asap. Now I can't wait to get it back even though I haven't even sent it. It will go back in the collection without me knowing there's an issue with one of my favs. Gonna have to get a filler/replacement since I will be out one for a while. Sounds like a good excuse to me.
