Looks like Buck added a few items to Web Specials today and also reduced the price on the 171 Buck/Mayo Waimea by another $60 (3 colors available).

Might have to get that Waimea now. Never understood why it didn't sell better even at the higher prices.
 
I was more interested in the new bone cover options, but will go take another look at the 171!

the size stopped me. still has stopped me even with the big discount. if the blade were 3.25" or 3.5" + I'd have bought every color.....

not sure why others havent bit down on it yet?

I'm with ya. I'd have been good with a 3" blade too. I only carry a modern as a backup to a 112 or 110 anyway, so I don't need it to be big....

The Kalinga is a steal at fifty bucks.
 
Wow! There was 160 of the 415 Kalinga Pro available when I posted it yesterday...now only 19 left.:eek: That is a lot of stocking stuffers out there.:p I imagine this one will flood the bay in no time at all.

Yes it is. Couldn't pass that one up. There's one the bay now for twice the price. I tell the wife that the knives I get always go up in price, and she agrees because they almost always do. What she doesn't know that in 30 years of collecting I have never sold any. I've given away a lot of them to friends and family but never sold any.
