The 118 looks great but they don't list the steel and they state it's a chip flint blade but the photo doesn't show that. Price is a bit high too at least for me and not knowing what steel was used. Same with the Factory Find 110. Looks great and the 154CM is one of my favorite steels I'd like to see it a little cheaper. Custom shoppe prices for a web special just doesn't do it for me.
Does the Factory Find 110 have the mirror finished 420HC blade with circular tang stamp and Alfred C. Buck signature etched on the blade? (Not much description on the web specials page except the burlwood handles and the BO38 part number.)
I was in the same boat. I had that knife in cart. Then I built a knife in the custom shop and it was cheaper. Indigo wood when it was available was not an upgrade. Also I noticed this knife did not come with a leather sheath. Just do not see this as a "Web special"The last time Buck ran a web special 154CM they were priced at $45.00 if I remember right.
That was a web special and I picked up a couple!
I put one of the current ones in my cart last night, but then decided I didn't want it for $127.00 including tax.
That so-called Web Special is laughable.
